The holiday season is just around the corner, and for many of us, that means travel, visits with family, or just needing a little extra hands-on help for our four-legged friends. At our Throw Me A Bone dog daycare and boarding, we're excited to offer holiday boarding with all the comfort, care, and fun your pup deserves while you’re away.
24/7 supervised Boarding services are available at our 525 W 52nd St and 311 11th Ave locations.
What Makes Our Boarding Special?

Holiday Boarding Details & Tips
1. Book Early
The holiday period is the busiest time for boarding facilities. According to industry guidance, you should reserve your dog’s stay 3–6 weeks in advance for major holidays like Christmas and New Year’s. With a new facility in a dense city like NYC, spots fill fast — we strongly recommend getting your booking in soon to lock in your preferred dates.
2. Schedule your dog’s Evalution
To ensure your pup is comfortable in our environment, we ask that new clients complete a daycare evaluation (60 minutes) and at least (1) daycare session before their full boarding period. This helps your dog adjust to our facility and gives us a chance to assess how they do in group play and overnight situations.
3. Vaccinations, Health, Routine
- We require proof of current vaccinations (e.g. bordetella, rabies, DAPP).
- Please provide your dog’s normal feeding schedule, any medications, and comfort items (bed, blanket, toy) so we can maintain their routine.
- Routine matters: keeping their feeding, walking and rest schedule as close to home as possible reduces stress.
4. Holiday Fees
Because holiday staffing, demand and services ramp up, we do charge an additional $20 per day holiday fee for holiday stays between 11/26/25-12/1/25 and 12/24/25-1/5/26.
We’ll provide full pricing details, deposit terms and cancellation policies when you book, so you know ahead of time.
5. What to Bring & What We Provide
We’ll supply: bedding, blankets, communal play-areas, walks, supervision, rest time.
You should bring:
- Enough of your dog’s usual food (clearly labelled)
- Medications with instructions
- Comfort item (blanket)
- Up-to-date vaccination records
